Llandudno is the planned Victorian resort between the two Ormes — pier, promenade and cable car, Conwy taxi table, not Conwy's walled harbour. This guide covers how you arrive, eat, stay and get practical help — then links into the full pillar pages.
Getting here
Most visitors arrive by train into Llandudno, or by car on the A55. Manchester and Liverpool airports are closer than Cardiff for most flights — pre-book private hire with luggage space.
The station to the pier and Mostyn Street is a short hop.
Getting around
The promenade is long; the Great Orme is a climb (cable car or tram when running). Hackney carriages use the Conwy meter — the same table as Conwy town, Colwyn Bay and Deganwy, not a second fare.

Eat
Promenade, pier and Mostyn Street independents. August fills the front. FSA hygiene ratings run 0–5 — search the venue on food.gov.uk before you book.
Many cafes close by mid-afternoon. Conwy is the harbour sitting, not this front.
Stay
Promenade hotels and guest houses. Confirm breakfast, parking and cancellation on the venue's own site. August fills the front.
Cottages may sit toward the Orme — confirm whether you are actually on the promenade.
If something breaks
Gas Safe before any gas or boiler work. Electrical jobs should leave a certificate. Highway skips on a public road need a Conwy County Borough licence — £71.90 for 28 days, 5 working days' notice.
Get scope and price in writing before walls open, especially on promenade terraces.
Do
The promenade, pier, cable car and Great Orme are the core. Conwy walls and quay are a day trip on the same taxi table. This town is not that harbour.
If you only have a weekend
Walk the promenade and pier, take the cable car if it is running, eat once with a checkable FSA rating, and sleep on the front if you can. Leave Sunday without treating Conwy or Colwyn Bay as this page.
