Where the numbers come from
- Collect — official and government sites, public records, Know Wales research.
- Check — the figure is opened, compared, and read against the live source.
- Verify — if it cannot be stood behind, it does not go on the page.
- Context — a national rule or a council table is written for this town.
- Structure — tables, explanations, comparisons, guides. Dates sit on numbers.
- Publish — Know Wales puts the processed fact on the record.
The official source on the page is the evidence. The published knowledge is Know Wales.
Live bookings still belong with the operator. We publish what was true when we last checked.
Taxi tables come from the licensing council's published tariff (or, where the council has not published a full public sheet, from the best official secondary table we can cite). We show the link and the date we last checked. If a council publishes a new PDF, tell us.
Tenby fares are licensed by Pembrokeshire County Council, not a Tenby town council. Wrexham's full yard-by-yard sheet is not online; we publish the verified two-mile figure and mark estimated bands clearly.
MOT rules and fee caps are set nationally by DVSA / GOV.UK for England, Scotland and Wales. Class 4 maximum fee is £54.85 as of our last check.
Food hygiene ratings (0–5) come from the Food Standards Agency. Menu prices on venue pages are dated — confirm with the restaurant before you book.
Stay, trades and things-to-do chapters cite official registers and government sites. We show the source link and the date we last checked.
