These terms govern your use of knowwales.co.uk ("the site"), operated by Know Wales. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What Know Wales is
Know Wales publishes local knowledge for living in and visiting Wales: factual context (for example council taxi tariffs, menus, licence expectations) and, where an editor can support it, short lists of businesses. We are not a directory that lists every firm, not a booking platform, and not a consumer regulator.
Information accuracy
We aim for dated, checkable facts and we publish sources where we can. Tariffs, menus, phone numbers, and licensing status change. Always confirm important details with the relevant council, operator, or business before you rely on them — especially prices and safety-critical work (gas, electrics, MOT).
Content is provided for general information only. It is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
Acceptable use
- Do not misuse forms (spam, false reports, or scraping that harms the service).
- Do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site or its data.
- Do not republish substantial site content as your own commercial product without permission.
Businesses and listings
Appearing on Know Wales is editorial. Requesting to get listed does not guarantee inclusion. Paid tools never buy a shortlist place. See How we choose.
Intellectual property
Site design, branding, and original editorial text belong to Know Wales or our licensors. You may link to our pages. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks belong to their owners.
Third-party sites
Links to councils, businesses, or other sites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Know Wales is not liable for loss arising from reliance on site content, downtime, or decisions you make after reading the site — including booking, hiring, or purchasing services from third parties.
