Moelfre is the east-Anglesey lifeboat village — clifftop walks and the RNLI, not Benllech’s wide sand. This guide covers how you arrive, eat, stay and get practical help — then links into the full pillar pages.
Getting here
Most visitors arrive by car. Manchester and Liverpool airports are closer than Cardiff for most flights — pre-book private hire with luggage space.
The village to the lifeboat / shore is a short hop.
Getting around
The village sits toward the lifeboat. Hackney carriages use the Anglesey meter — not a neighbouring council's table.
Private hire must be pre-booked with a price agreed when you book — see the Moelfre tariff page.
Eat
Village independents. FSA hygiene ratings run 0–5 — search the venue on food.gov.uk before you book.
Many cafes close by mid-afternoon. Benllech is a different sitting on the same taxi table.
Stay
Village hotels. Confirm breakfast, parking and cancellation on the venue's own site. Summer fills the streets.

If something breaks
Gas Safe before any gas or boiler work. Electrical jobs should leave a certificate. Highway skips on a public road need an Anglesey licence — the skip operator applies. We have not yet listed a verified skip-hire shortlist.
Get scope and price in writing before walls open, especially on clifftop streets.
Do
The lifeboat, clifftop and shore hop are the core. Benllech is a day trip on the same taxi table.
If you only have a weekend
Walk the clifftop, eat once with a checkable FSA rating, and sleep in the village if you can. Leave Sunday without treating Benllech as this page.
