Getting here
Most visitors arrive by train into Porthmadog, or by car. Manchester and Liverpool airports are closer than Cardiff for most flights — pre-book private hire with luggage space.
The station to the harbour and cob is a short hop.
Getting around
The cob, harbour and station sit a short hop from each other. Hackney carriages use the Gwynedd meter — the same table as Criccieth, not a second fare.

Eat
Cob and harbour independents. Summer fills the town. FSA hygiene ratings run 0–5 — search the venue on food.gov.uk before you book.
Many cafes close by mid-afternoon. Criccieth is the castle-headland sitting, not this cob.
Stay
Harbour hotels and B&Bs. Book summer. Confirm breakfast, parking and cancellation on the venue's own site.
Criccieth castle rooms are a different product on the same taxi table.
If something breaks
Gas Safe before any gas or boiler work. Electrical jobs should leave a certificate. Highway skips on a public road need a Gwynedd permit — £74 for up to 1 month on the skip page.
Get scope and price in writing before walls open, especially on cob streets.
