Getting here
Most visitors arrive by car. Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff airports are all long private-hire jobs — pre-book with luggage space.
The town centre to the Elan Valley road is a short hop.
Getting around
The Wye and Elan road sit a short hop from each other. Hackney carriages use the Powys meter — the same table as Llandrindod, not a second fare.

Eat
Wye and Elan independents. Clear reservoir days fill the town. FSA hygiene ratings run 0–5 — search the venue on food.gov.uk before you book.
Many cafes close by mid-afternoon. Llandrindod is the spa-lake sitting, not this Elan gateway.
Stay
Wye and Elan hotels and B&Bs. Confirm breakfast, parking and cancellation on the venue's own site. Clear days fill the streets.
Llandrindod spa rooms are a different product on the same taxi table.
If something breaks
Gas Safe before any gas or boiler work. Electrical jobs should leave a certificate. Highway skips on a public road need a Powys licence — the skip operator applies.
Get scope and price in writing before walls open, especially on Elan-road streets.
