Restaurants in Llandudno

Promenade, pier and Mostyn Street — August fills tables, not Conwy harbour.

Llandudno restaurants sit on Mostyn Street, the promenade and toward the pier — independents for the Victorian resort between the two Ormes, not Conwy's walled harbour and not Colwyn Bay's Eirias front. Check FSA hygiene ratings on food.gov.uk; we do not quote a mains band until we have dated menus.

What to know

restaurants in Llandudno

Llandudno is the planned Victorian resort between two Ormes — Conwy taxi table; pier, promenade and cable car, not Conwy’s walled harbour.

Where to eat

Llandudno's food scene centres on the promenade and the back streets behind it. Dylan's on East Parade (01492 860499) occupies a listed Victorian building at the Craig-y-Don end of the seafront — its menu uses locally sourced seafood and Welsh produce; busy at weekends so book. 1890 Restaurant at the Cae Mor Hotel on Penrhyn Crescent is open to non-residents and specialises in Conwy mussels and Welsh beef — a step up in formality without being stuffy. For a more relaxed everyday meal, Home Cookin' (established 1979) on the upper town remains a locals' favourite for generous portions of traditional cooking at honest prices; no booking required mid-week. The Cottage Loaf pub near the station is a good stop for real ales and a pub lunch in a building that predates the Victorian resort era.
