Parc Nantgarw (just off A470) hosts a cluster of chain restaurants and entertainment venues including the Tenpin Cardiff Nantgarw food offer (pizzas, loaded fries, burgers, cocktails delivered to bowling lanes). The Ivor Hael pub (01 Cardiff Rd, Nantgarw) is the local community pub serving bar food. For a proper sit-down meal, Pontypridd (5 miles) has independent restaurants, and Cardiff (8 miles) the full city dining range. The Bunch of Grapes at Ynysybwl (near Pontypridd) is an award-winning craft beer pub worth the short detour.
