Holiday cottage extras in Wales

The headline cottage price is not the stay. Linen, cleaning, parking, firewood and a hot tub are extra unless the listing includes them. ‘Sleeps 4’ means the beds the listing actually names.

A cottage “from £X a night” is often a headline, not the invoice. Linen, cleaning, parking, a hot tub and a pet fee sit on top unless the listing says they are included.

Ask before the deposit

  • Bed linen and towels
  • End-of-stay cleaning
  • Parking (a coastal town space is not a field)
  • Heating / firewood / hot tub hours
  • What “sleeps 4” means — beds vs sofa beds
  • Changeover day (often Saturday on the coast)
GOV.WALES tourism trackers have put hotels first and cottages second as the planned stay for many Wales trips. The extras problem is the cottage product, not the hotel breakfast.

We do not invent a national extras tariff. Read that booking’s conditions.

Town chapters such as cottages in Tenby and cottages in Llandudno are the local door, not a second booking engine.

Common questions

Is linen included in a Welsh holiday cottage?
Only if the listing says so. Cleaning, parking, firewood and a hot tub are the usual extras. Ask before you pay a deposit.
What does ‘sleeps 4’ mean?
Count beds, not sofa beds, unless the listing is explicit. Changeover is often Saturday on the coast.
