Walking and outdoors
Oystermouth Castle on the hill above the village is free to explore externally and has paid admission for interior tours — panoramic views of the bay from the walls. Mumbles Pier dates from 1898 and houses an amusement arcade, a lifeboat station and a small RNLI museum. The Gower Coast Path from the promenade through Bracelet Bay, Limeslade and down to Langland Bay is one of the finest short coastal walks in Wales — mostly level walking with dramatic limestone headlands. For art, the Lovespoon Gallery and the Gower Gallery on Newton Road are independent and worth a browse on a wet afternoon.
