Hotels in Llandudno

Promenade hotels — Victorian front, not a Conwy walled-town room.

Llandudno hotels sit on the promenade and toward Mostyn Street — useful if you are mixing the pier with the Great Orme. Confirm parking; August fills the front. Conwy walled-town rooms are a different product on the same taxi table.

What to know

hotels in Llandudno

Llandudno is the planned Victorian resort between two Ormes — Conwy taxi table; pier, promenade and cable car, not Conwy’s walled harbour.

Where to stay

Llandudno is North Wales's largest and most traditional seaside resort, with a wide accommodation range from grand Victorian seafront hotels on the promenade sweep to small B&Bs in the Craigside neighbourhood on the hillside above the main bay. North Shore hotels command premium prices and book out in July and August; if you want a quieter stay, look on the West Shore side, where a handful of guesthouses overlook the dunes and Conwy estuary rather than the main beach.

The town has no shortage of beds, but a peculiarity is that many hotels still enforce weekly changeover during peak school-holiday weeks — particularly Saturdays — and refuse short breaks, so always check minimum stay before booking in summer.

Conwy CBC's Visitor Levy consultation closed 17 July 2026; the council will announce its decision after 24 September 2026. If adopted, the earliest a levy would apply to overnight stays in Llandudno is October 2027 — and accommodation providers would need to register with the Welsh Revenue Authority first. No charge applies to bookings made or stays taking place before any confirmed levy date.
