## Getting around by taxi
Dinas Powys is a residential village 4 miles southwest of Cardiff city centre in the Vale of Glamorgan. Its own train station provides direct services to Cardiff Central (15 minutes) and Barry Island — making it unusually well-connected for a village. Dinas Cars is the local independent; L.B. Private Hire also operates from the area. Cardiff-licensed firms including Veezu cover Dinas Powys on the Cardiff fringe.
