Walking around Flint
The Wales Coast Path runs through Flint along the Dee — flat, waymarked, estuary views to the Wirral. Flint Castle to Bagillt (about 3 miles) passes salt marsh (curlews, oystercatchers, dunlin) and old industrial sites.
Park at the castle car parks (free) or walk 5–10 minutes from Flint station. The stretch toward Connah's Quay and the Flintshire Bridge shows industry and marsh together. This is not a holiday beach promenade.
