What to know
Things to do
Llanfairfechan's appeal is principally as a gateway to the Carneddau mountains — the vast, plateau-like northern massif of Snowdonia that holds several summits above 900 m within 4 miles of the coast. The Aber Falls (Rhaeadr Fawr) — a spectacular 37 m waterfall — is accessible via a 2.5-mile forest track from Aber (4 miles east). The Victorian promenade and beach provides a sheltered family seaside experience and access to the Penmaenmawr section of the Wales Coastal Path.
