The Afon Irfon riverside walk within the Lake Country House grounds (2 miles, flat) is a gentle woodland and riverbank stroll accessible to hotel guests. The Cambrian Mountains drover's roads above Llangammarch — ancient routes crossing the hills toward Tregaron — pass through some of the most isolated upland scenery in Wales; the Roman road through Irfon Forest is accessible with an OS map. Abergwesyn Common (4 miles northwest) is open access land with views across the Cambrian ridge.
