Nantgarw China Works Museum (Tyla Gwyn, CF15 7TB) celebrates one of the most sought-after porcelains ever made in Britain — William Billingsley produced his ultra-translucent, Swansea-influenced porcelain here 1813–1820 before the works closed. The museum is housed in the original kilns and cottages and is free to enter. Tenpin Cardiff Nantgarw (Parc Nantgarw, CF15 7QX) offers 24 bowling lanes, karaoke rooms, laser tag and escape rooms — a popular family entertainment complex 10 minutes from Cardiff. Garth Hill (15 min walk) is the real-life inspiration for the fictional mountain in *The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill*.
