Llandudno’s Great Orme has two paid rides up the headland. They are not the same ticket. Walking is free.
Great Orme Tramway
Britain’s remaining cable-hauled street tramway. Victoria Station, Church Walks, LL30 2NB. Operated by Conwy County Borough Council. Official 2026 fares on greatormetramway.co.uk:
High season (July–August 2026)

Cable car
Starts at Happy Valley, not Church Walks. Open-sided cabins. More wind-sensitive than the tram. Tickets are not interchangeable with the tram. Local listings citing Visit Conwy (July 2026) put an adult return around £15 — operator prices move, and the cable car has historically been cash-at-the-station. Confirm at Happy Valley before you queue.
Walking
The summit paths are free. Weather on the Orme is not the promenade.
