No. Pen y Pass is Eryri, with a seasonal pre-book. Pont ar Daf uses payment machines and JustPark. They are different mountains and different rules.

Pen y Fan parking is not Pen y Pass

Pen y Fan is in Bannau Brycheiniog, not Eryri. The car park people want is Pont ar Daf, near Storey Arms, off the A470. You do not pre-book it like Pen y Pass. You cannot use a Snowdon parking code here.

Not Pen y Pass

The walk

The usual path leaves the car park toward Pen y Fan and Corn Du. It is a mountain path: weather, wind, and daylight matter. The car park charge is not a ranger fee and not a rescue. The nearest town door here is the Brecon guide. It is a drive from the town.

If Pont ar Daf is full, do not invent a verge as the plan. Turn around and use a later time, or another day.

Storey Arms is the name, not the park

The outdoor centre people remember is not the ticket office. Pont ar Daf is the National Trust car park beside it. If a map pin says Storey Arms and drops you in a lay-by, you are not in the official park, and you have not paid the £7.50 that keeps the path start clear.

Members park free. Non-members use the machine or JustPark, as the board says. Charges apply through the night, and overnight stays are not allowed. Do not sleep in the car park because the walk finished late.

Pen y Pass pre-book codes, Sherpa day tickets, and the Snowdon railway do not apply on this A470. If the day was meant to be Yr Wyddfa, you are on the wrong mountain. Pont ar Daf is the pay-and-display start for Pen y Fan, not a Sherpa stop and not a railway station.
